Yeah it's tough. This site has the same problem Dashing did, where its name doesn't communicate what it is and people get confused. It's not SEO friendly either.
If this is only going to be a place for former Dashing people to chill then you probably don't need to bother reaching out for new people. However, if you're going in that direction then I think Discord is more convenient for everyone. If you're set on growing this forum then you'll need to ask yourself what sort of site you want this to be and work towards that. It's your place now buddy, you don't need to follow the Dashing way of doing things.
Fwiw, post packages and exchanges helped Dashing when there were lulls in activity. Would recommend.
