My experience with Canadians is very different. I think out of all of the Canadians I met, only 2-3 of them weren't awful people.

That annoying feeling when you find a forum that's a niche you enjoy, and when you go check it out, it's full of assholes who take themselves and their opinions too seriously. I can't help but feel disgusted when I see people basing their opinions of people based on their taste in a hobby, and bitching about "casuals with inferior taste". Also multiple threads bitching about people with differing opinions, and "who has the best taste" threads are some of the worst shit I've seen on the internet. I've never seen so many masturbatory posts outside of Nintendo Age. I threw up a bit when I was reading those threads.
I could never join a community filled with douchebags like that. As much as it's slightly annoying joining a hobby thread with people who have different taste than you, or more "casual" tastes. It's still only a minor suck when you can't talk about very specific things you like, but the community is at least chill when talking about things, and are in it just for the fun. Those guys on the other hand. Bleh. Fuck them.
