For me, I use bandcamp/soundcloud and ucollective mostly.

What about the rest of you?
Sometimes lastfm works. Other times I look up a genre on Wikipedia then look up more prominent bands of it. Other times there's a label that "specializes" in a genre, or has a specific sound I like. So I go and look up their roster.
I don't really look for music but sometimes I'll find myself going through whatever songs show up in my YouTube suggestions.

idk how effective it is really, keeps me occupied for a while though.
Whatever my sister recommends me

Pretty much this. I also look up stuff on Metal Archives.
Soundcloud & Last.FM & Bandcamp. Usually Bandcamp over the others. The fact that I can just search based on tags/genre is pretty great.
searching on deezer
I don't do much searching. I usually get linked something from a friend and if I like it, I dig deeper into the artist until I've found everything I like of theirs.
Twitter or Facebook, the Radio, Spotify and sometimes just magically finding a great song whilst watching a music video for another song on YouTube
