What are your thoughts on achievements/trophies? Do you opt to platinum every game you buy, get the ones you think sound fun, or just whatever you get when you complete the game?

Personally I don't really care for them, but I see how others find them fun, especially when you've completed the game and want more. I do think some trophies are really pointless, like in some games where they hand you a trophy just for opening up the menu, or something really pointless like that. I also dislike how some trophies basically require you to start the game over from scratch and go through it with that trophy in mind, because if you don't, you're screwed.

I will say the silliest trophies I've gotten are from the Sword Art Online games, where you have to max out the affection of all the girls to get the "daddy's a pimp" trophy. So many hours wasted on that.
I have no objection to them. Ironically my rarest trophy is from the first game I was credited on which you would get by opening the credits. Shows how much people care :b
Not really bothered by nor motivated by achievements to be honest, occasionally I end up getting a rare one just because I like to break games and end up sequence breaking or similar.
I won't go out of the way to earn them and because of that I actually don't have any platinum trophies. I never like to 100% games either which probably contributes to that.
