Since Youtube is sort of its own entertainment medium, with its own communities and channels that release regular webshows that people will routinely follow, I thought I'd ask if anyone has their own channels that they frequent and enjoy content from that they'd like to share. Or their own Youtube channel that they post content on.

While my interests have been taking a shift as of late, I've been watching around different channels at different times. Though the ones I try to catch the most frequently are:

Linus Tech Tips (General tech channel)

hirumaredx (World of Warcraft videos)

This Exists (Interesting topics)

Vargskelethor Uncut (Full Twitch stream vods of Vinesauce's Joel)

Wrestling With Wregret (Wrestling show)

Feel free to share the Youtube channels you like to visit in your spare time!
I've been digging this Youtuber named Jim who became known as the Internet Aristocrat, and his channel was dedicated to talking shit about the goofy Tumblr communities and buzzwords in his Tumblrisms series. Then there's his Hugbox Chronicles, which is about the goofy ways people are butthurt over silly things, and their off the wall comments. Then there's his Internet Insanity series, which initially started off with bringing to light about people who need help, but realized that with the size of his audience, some asshole is going to egg those people on, so he then used it to bring to light about really fucked up people like Nick Bates.

He then closed it for some reason, and brought it back as an archival channel, and started a new monicker as Mister Metokur. So he has a few continuations of his series, which are still good, but the rest are about topics I don't care about. I will say he has two very lengthy discussions with people over SJW culture, and the more interesting one is him discussing with two transsexuals on their opinions on the trans-community on Tumblr. Which you can probably guess, is a community the two do not hold in high regards.

Here's his two discussions I mentioned earlier:

The talk about the Trans community in Tumblr sounds interesting but painful. I don't want to be reminded of Tumblr's worst, but at the same time I also enjoy hearing how people who share the same qualities but actually have a brain give their takes on these online communities.

All in all these channels are interesting. I like seeing a good amount of discussion and rants about particular topics. Sort of like what Shoe0nHead does against the radical feminists who behave shamefully by being overly-dramatic and bring spite and hate with them wherever they go.
The interesting thing I realized/remembered in their discussion is the main woman who talks said that most trans people don't like to associate as being trans, they prefer to identify as their new gender identity. Which matches with what the trans people I know irl tend to follow. Also I can see their comment about calling yourself trans also puts a target on your head. There's other things they mention, but I cba to remember it, because it's a fucking 2 hour video, and I saw it months ago.

Jim also mentions vocal minorities tarnishing small groups. You have this small group that a lot of people don't have experience with, and you have these asshole vocal minorities as the primary exposure, that's going to give people a negative opinion towards that group. Which pretty much everyone has dealt with before.

I will say for his videos trashing Tumblrisms, he does cherrypick the most crazy ones, but seeing his more serious videos, it's to make fun of how extreme some of these can get. Like how misinformed people bitching about cultural appropriation are (baw white people shouldn't learn Spanish). It was kind of a contrast in his Headmates video where he actually gets pissed off by the end, as his videos are more of "lol look at this dumbass". As I can see why he got pissed, because he goes into detail and says how schizophrenia is a pretty serious mental illness, and isn't something to pretend you have just to get attention. Especially in one post he read off about this guy saying "hey guys, my headmate is Jesus, it's hard to tell my religious friends about it, because it'll upset them". His response was "imagine how destructive it is telling someone who actually has schizophrenia that they're actually hearing the voice of Jesus". He then shows videos of actual schizophrenic people and the realities of the disorder, like the high percentage of suicide, and how it's not "hey guys, it's so cool hanging out with my headmates".
To bring these serious issues and how these people are treating them is really a good thing. The Trans topic caught my attention most though, because I even witness people like this in my area of Twitter. People will label themselves "Transsexual", basically behave like crossdressers with labels on them and treat it as if it were a fad. Whereas people who actually want to be the opposite gender won't go out of their way to point out "Hey, I'm a girl" or "Hey, I'm a trans girl!" and will just change their first name, undergo the treatment(s) they need, and be on their way.

As for the Tumblrisms in general, while it's a bit of a stretch to say that everyone who frequently uses the website is a wacko, the ones that are wackos certainly are "Extreme". I'm glad there are people that will bring more positive awareness to things such as schizophrenia though, rather than letting people treat it like another label to feed their special snowflake needs and getting away with it.
Yeah, it is a stretch to say all of Tumblr is full of whackjob special snowflakes, as there's a lot of communities based on fandoms, or porn, lots of porn.

A lot of these special snowflake people have existed on other sites, especially on ones I've frequented long before Tumblr became a thing, it's more like a magnet that brings in a bunch of these whackos together, or at least more attention to them, as it's a big site now. I've been encountered special snowflakes whose introduction is always a list of everything that makes them "different" online or irl. Personally I always find that a red flag, as most people introduce themselves by their hobby and/or career. Like at work, everytime we have new people come in, it's always "hi my name is ___, I'm from ___, my hobby is ___, and mention if they have a family or not.

We have a gay guy at work, and we only knew he was gay because his husband came with him, but still, outside of work related topics, he talks almost entirely about smoking and video games. Though he is kind of a dick, and clearly talks too much about how smart he is, but that's a different discussion all of itself.
I personally really wish the mentality of wanting to be defined by a label, sexual orientation, etc. to just die out. As for Tumblr itself, it's an okay website. I go there for some good fanart of my favorite anime and their characters.

To keep the conversation about Youtube though, while keeping it about people being put on blast for just being plain stupid, I used to watch this Youtuber named the BlackBusterCritic, who would call out various communities of people, including gaming communities, Deviantart users, and more. Unfortunately, he's been flagged down multiple times for how often he's pissed off a crowd. However, his older videos have been uploaded by many dedicated fans. One channel source has been HeavensLibrary. He goes about these things in a bit more harsh of way though, even I can admit.
Totally agree there sprink, on the desire to form tribes around labels/categories what have you needing to disappear.

https://www.youtube.com/user/bigclivedotcom - fantastic deconstructions/constructions of all sorts of electronics, lights, food, beverages. Really entertaining and his voice is amazing.
What an interesting channel. I like seeing the guts of electronics. What a sicko I am.

I'm subscribed to a Japanese food channel that does something like this, but the videos lack commentary and are fairly short, though there's plenty videos on there: https://www.youtube.com/user/shitemita/videos
Mark Bussler of Classic Game Room is pretty cool. He likes to show off all kinds of retro games, and his style is always more down to earth and stuff. Also he likes to make goofy comments here and there. His spinoff CGUndertow has other people hosting the videos (and that douchy guy TG who does RPG's, but fuck him), but they're really not that great. He's one of the original internet video game guys, and has been making web videos before Youtube was a thing. I like his videos on consoles, and you also learn about more obscure consoles alongside the typical classics.
